Hi and welcome to the forum Ailette. It is perfectly normal for the spike on your Phal. to
turn brown and die off after it's finished flowering. I would cut it about 1 to 1 1/2 inches
from the base where it is coming from. This will encourage the plant to restore the
energy it needs to rebloom the next time. In the fall, subject it to a temperature drop
of about 10 F. This should initiate a new spike for blooming.
