| Help needed with my Cymbidium Hello. I would like to get some help with a cymbidium I have. I'll tell you about it.
It is quite big already, it belonged to my sister, but because of certain causes it was abandoned in the garden for six months and it didn't get any more water than the rain, but, in spite of that, it kept quite healthy. Before that, my sister had had it with her for almost three years, and it didn't bloom even once. She bought it with flowers, they lasted as usual, but it didn't bloom ever again.
Now, I'm looking after it and it's recovered a beautiful green color in its leaves, so it's ok now, the problem is that it doesn't bloom.
I have it indoors, in a humid place. I water it generously every week. It gets a lot of light, but not much direct sunlight. It's warmy inside.
I've kept asking people since I took it under my wing, and I've been told two things:
- The plant has to be very big and the pot very small so as to make it bloom.
- It has to be outdoors during winter so that it gets low temperatures, this way it will bloom.
Could you please help me? The plant itself is very healthy now, leaves aren't falling anymore, and it's growing new bulbs, so it's perfectly happy, the problem is I don't know how to make it bloom.
Thanks ^^ |
