| Pale flowers usually mean just the opposite, that the paler flower bloomed in lower light than the fully coloured ones. Another factor that can affect flower colour is temperature. Sometimes some orchids, when flowered in warmer conditions, are less vibrantly coloured. Sometimes though there are slight variations in colour for no cultural reason.
