Tom, I'll keep an eye open for it and let you know when I find it.

c.mcadams, I didn't answer some of your questions. Cut the spike off down to where it is convenient to do so, but use a sterilized tool. Don't want to infect the plant with virus. If you are using electric lighting, the length of time the light is on should be close to the length of the real day, plus about an hour or so to cheat a little. So, reset your timer about every 2 months.
