| Newbie Calypso Orchid Geek joins up....
Today is my first post here as I just joined moments ago. I produce and sell Calypso orchid seed from deep forest in northern California. This is a brand new venture for me and I am having fun! I am in touch with people all around the world who are working to make Calypso plants available to the public through seed grown plants. Education and research are vital for the preservation of species that are still mysterious and elusive and outside of cultivation, especially those showing signs of being endangered. I have teamed up with Calypso and we want to stop the digging and harvesting of wild irreplaceable plants and move ahead on creating seed grown Calypso orchids for research and naturalizing back into the forests. We are doing the seed part and finding out there are many people ready to accept this challenge both in vitro and in situ! Thanks for having me here, I am going to go have a look around and see where I want to jump in to this new found friendly forum!
