Hmm, just looked up lanceanum in Bakers book on the Oncidium alliance. I hope Maureen is a warmer growing plant than laneanum. Lanceanum grows at about 9000 ft altitude and summer nightime averages are around 47F, with record high in the habitat around 86F and record low around 25F (-4C). The light requirement is the same as other Oncidiums, 2000 to 3500 fc and watering probably the same.
Luci, can you check on the abreviation of the genus on the O. Maureen? There is a registration for an Odontoglossum Maureen, an Odontioda Maureen, and an Odontonia Maureen, but no Oncidium Maureen.
I recall a hybrid of lanceanum (or the species itself) grown and bloomed by someone in Phoenix where cool temps are non-existant in summer, unless she grew it in her home, but I doubt that, so I suspect your plant will grow well with other Oncidiums. Cynthia
