The spots appear somewhat red to purple. This is very common. Even if they were black it would not necessarily be serious.

Black spots that are soft and mushy are bad. The rot will expand rapidly and can kill a plant. If the spots are not growing they can be ignored. When you have black rot that is spreading cut the leaf quickly. It can kill a plant in days. But most spots are harmless.
