| Den Laevifolium Fantastic species is reminiscent of Den. cuthbertsonii but much easier to grow. Plants stay small but get clumpy or "tufted", dropping many of their leaves in the winter. Blossoms resemble an open fan and are quite large in relation to the plant. Epiphyte in deep-moss forest, on tree trunks and branches a few feet above the mossy elfin forest bed. Wet, and subjected to brief bursts of bright sunshine. Flowers last for months. Many in this batch are coming out in a new novelty shade of pink, lighter than the one in our photo.
Cynthia, found this on Tropical Orchard Farm site.
