Paphs must have fresh media and repotting once a year is recommended even if the old media still looks good. After a Paph finishes blooming is generally the time to repot as they are usually starting new growths at this time as well but not every Paph will bloom every year so then it becomes amatter of opinion. I find they respond best if repotted in late winter/early spring (about the same time you'd be repotting the ones that have just finished blooming).
