| Fungus on dead roots would be of no concern. I have heard of fungus growing on various orchid surfaces with very high humidity, and since this has never happend to me under the same circumstances (sphag & bag), I assumed it was just fertilizer that was supporting the fungus, and recommended it just be washed off and the plant returned to the bag.
