Rescued a big beautiful cattleya out of flower at Lowe's today. As expected most of the roots were rotten. Took it out the pot, snipped off all of the dead roots. It was in my parked car bare root for maybe 20 minutes, windows rolled up, shaded parking lot. Came back to get after forgetting, car was warm not hot, plant's leaves were HOT. Is this plant doomed to a slow decline? Bummer, because I was certain this plant would thrive if given proper TLC... |
