. Whales ,dolphins etc. have a lot less hair and Echidnas, porcupines, etc. have highly modified hairs (quills or spines), and naked mole rats have barely enough hairs to qualify as hairy mammals.
And the supreme mammal , the human, will lose 'its' hairs in about 50,000 years if 'it' can survive that long
I read a book titled 'The Naked Ape' by Desmond Morris a while back and it IS a fascinating read. He considers humans ( a primate) as naked when compared to apes ( another primate). It made sense to me , hehehehe
