| I actually don't think it is a new growth. It looks like somethign I see on Catts occasionally in which one of the protective bracts takes on some chatacteristics of a leaf. In other words they're somwhere halfway between a bract and a leaf. I would not be suprised to see it continue to yellow and then fall off of dry up like a bract.
I notice that the part of the pseudobulb in the vicinity of this growth in question is bare, i.e. no bract. This would support my hypothesis that the growth is a mutated bract.
