I'd say you have a good chance that you will get a subspike or even another new spike if the plant is happy. I took a healthy phal to work a little over a year ago. It hated the environment there and lost a full spike of flowers in a week. The plant really wanted to bloom even though I was not giving it the environment it wanted initially. I cut the spike off and it immediately sent out another. Keep your fingers crossed!
