It has become very popular for growers to pot two Phals in the same pot. The plant looks much more impressive. This is becoming more popular as growers have to stop growing specimen plants because of the expense. Multiple plantings are much cheaper.

I have started potting three Nobile Dens in a single 6 inch pot. When they bloom I will post a photo.

I think you will enjoy letting it grow as is.
