Did that worm farm come with instructions plus worms and bedding ?

I am assuming you have the equivalent of "CanOWorms "

Essentially you need to site it in a dry warm corner
put the bedding material /compost in the next tray up from the base section (which i assume has a tap ).......... plus the worms

Then you add kitchen scraps/peelings /crushed egg shells/shredded paper / meat and fish scraps/fish bones and in a couple of weeks you will find liquid has dripped into the base tray and a fine brown compost is being produced
as the first tray fills up you can put scraps into the next tray up and the worms will migrate upwards when they are ready

A couple of times a year you will see thousands of tiny white baby worms and sometimes "a great escape" if things get overcrowded
