Hi Hummer,
I am not familiar with a Den. Dragon White, but I do have a Den. King Dragon
which is a Phalaenopsis type Dendrobium. There is a Den. draconis which is
commonly known as the Dragon Dendrobium, but that is a nobile type Den.
which requires a cool dry rest during the winter months. Is your new flower
spike coming from between the top 2 leaves on the cane? If it is, it is probably
a Phal. type Den. Although they usually produce new growth and spike in
the spring, they have been known to grow and flower at any time. I now
have one that is producing 2 spikes from 2 canes. If I have new growth
or a flower spike, then I continue to water every 7-10 days and fertilize
every other week even during the winter. If no activity is happening, then
as Brook stated , I cut back the watering to 10-14 days depending on the
medium you are using (this is for bark, which is what I use) and fertilize only
every 4-5 weeks. I have had good results growing them this way for a few
years now.
