Wrinkled-up Bulbs

So, at the beginning of last week, I spent the day separating and re-potting three of my orchids that had been suffering from root rot after being in moss that had not been drying out between waterings....I had to cut away about half of the roots (rotten) but what remained looked healthy enough to support the newly divided plants....
The re-potted separated plants seemed to respond well to their new pots and fresh medium but the bulbs (which had shriveled up prior to re-potting) have not changed at all....They remain shriveled/wrinkled and flat despite watering and feeding....
Do I need to get those bulbs out of the plants or will they eventually recover???....Will it hinder the new divided plants' growth to leave them there????....
