I am sorry Sara that I cannot be of much help. But we have something in common. I bought a few dying Dens and potted them in my own mix and some are showing new growth after almost 6 months.

What I did was to pot them in a mix of coconut hush chips (medium), fir bark and a little sphagnum moss and perlite and kept them indoors under plant lights. They were never exposed to the sun.

Two of them are still green but no new growth in almost 7 months. I will try and post the Dens with new growths tomorrow.

As for Cattleyas I have them potted in primarily Coconut chips but they were in reasonably good shape to begin with.

I hope some one will come to your aid soon.

Good luck.
