| Mani is in india. humidity is about 60% almost the same as my area.
sometime i envy low temperature in your area as there is less fungus problem. but then when i think of what i can grow outdoor. I thank God for the weather.
I dump really dump my vanda outdoor, mokara in full sun, vanda in full sun
arundina graminifolia in full sun. Dendrobrum in full sun. That good thing about
tropics, it is cheaper to grow them outdoor. sunlight from 7 to 6, rains every
2to 3 days. humidity range from 60 to 100%. Temperature- just draw a
straight line 25c to 31c
I feel awkward when you guys mention resting period.
My Mokara bloom everyday sometime only 1 to 2 week rest. Dendrobrum bloom year round 6 yo 7 spike on one cane. Arudina have not rest for 6 months now.
I feel frustrated about phalaenopsis, they are so slow. 1 bloom every 6 months. Oh, i have harden my phal. to 50% sunlight cool eh?
tropics growing phalaenopsis is totally different ball game. I grow them
without any media. Any media would just rot the roots. Learnt it the hard way. Much like growing Vanda in a basket with no media. |
