I received my box last Thursday, too. Four out of nine vandaceous orchids, roots weren't in great condition. One out of four oncidiums has the same condition. The one paph didn't have it either. That's why, I think, the main plant broke off rather easily from the root system. On top of it all, I found some mealybugs on some of them. This evening, I sprayed (second application since last Thurs) worm tea on all of them.
At any rate, this was a good deal (yes...a good way to build up a collection). Fortunately, the vandas that have good root systems are ones I want to keep.
I just hope the paph will survive because I really like the blooms I saw. As for the oncidiums, I'm neutral.
