True blue is such a rare pigment in orchids... Some of the V. coerulea clones are VERY blue, others more purple, and some ar pink (!). I recently saw some line-bred Phal. violacea v. coerulea that looked shockingly blue. The level of commitment in line breeding necessary to see a cobalt blue P. violacea....oy gevault!
