Roots on top are OK. Just maintain the plant without over watering. Make sure the mix is VERY close to dry before watering again. If your plant is a Phalaenopsis, it will start a new bloom spike some time next winter. Sometimes you will get the old spike to branch and produce more flowers shortly after the old ones fade. If it is not a Phal, then we need to know which one it is if you want a little more advice. Phals will be triggered to bloom when days get shorter (don't leave the lights on till the same time every night), and when the nights get cooler,50-60F (don't pamper it and keep it warm at night).
