I live in San Jose and all my orchids are outside from May until Nov. Since you are in a warmer climate in SoCal then your outside may extend the whole year. When the night time temps stay consistantly below 50 I bring the majority of my orchids in for the season. The cyms and a couple of others stay outside all year long but are protected when the night time temps dip below 35. |
