Remember when considering Wal mart and Home Depot that it is the live micros in the solution that do the work. It has a definite shelf life. and the caps should be kept loose so that air gets into the solution on the shelf.

I doubt if Wal Mart and Home Depot rotate stock and cerainly they would not keep the caps loose as it might spill in the store.
