Unhappy Transplanting Kiki

I mentioned before that I had planted the Kiki in a too large clay pot. I bought a smaller cermic pot, put a few styrafoam peanuts and a piece of charcoal in bottom of the pot, then added soaked bark mixture.
When I took the Kiki from the old pot the roots look dry and slightly shriveled, but still light green. The second flower is turning brown, the first dropped off.
I would guess that the orchid was not getting enough water, but I don't really know. If it's too dry...what should I do now.
Thanks, Tess
