September Photography Contest

The Comp Guidelines Please Read The Guidelines.

1) The photo comp is open to all members.
2) Three Photos Only Per member, please include plant names.
3) Indicate your level of photographic experience/expertise. Choose one of the three levels as described below:
3a) Novice: point-and-shoot experience only, has had camera less than 3 years, no photography classes
3b) Intermediate: beyond basic point-n-shoot, has possibly had camera for 3-5 years, considers lighting, composition, has possibly had 1 or 2 classes on photography basics
3c) Open: For experienced amatures, photography hobbiests, and professional photographers - way beyond basic point-n-shoot, photography may be a hobby, carefully considers lighting and composition, probably more than 5 years experience, has possibly had classes beyond basic photography, includes one who has been paid for their photographic expertise
4) All Non Photo Entries Will Be Deleted.
4a) Photos of own orchids are to be entered only
4b)This is a fun competition to help people improve their photography skills, and not to be taken too seriously.
All comp pics entered are viewed by a professional as well as the judges.
If there is any chance that the images look like they have been taken by a professional and above the standard expected of that entrant then there will be a "please explain" as to how they obtained that image photographically.
4c) Once a member wins first prize in the Novice or Intermediate catogory,s they must move up to the next level.
