by the way you have said what had happened with the flower spikes I think that you will still be able to save the plant.

I can understand that you are upset and its fine to have a little cry because the orchid means so much to you.
But I think you will be able to save the orchid its good that you have come here to learn once we know what sort of orchid you have we can direct you to the right culture for your plant.
