| misting isn't a bad idea, but it is no substitute for proper watering, as i found out the hard way. when i first got my phals, i misted them more often than watered, and have lost several leaves (all wrinkled and shriveled looking) due to dehydration. the air roots can't really get water any other way than misting, though i read here also, if the roots are not misted, they will eventually dry up and die off (natural response to being useless to the plant). |
