Sounds like you may have had the Phal in too much light to begin with. I wish there were some inexpensive systemic fungicides conveniently available. I think I have seen the demise of a lot of plants from stress, overheating, sunburn, and the like, that finally gave up the ghost from fungal attack in their weaken state. Definitely keep this guy out of direct light and any further very hot room temps (anything much higher than about 85F).
