| I haven't had this happen to me, stagged. My spikes stay firm and green and continue to stretch out. I have a feeling you may have lost this one. I have been advised not to have more than one spike on the plant as it does stress the plant, although many people keep both spikes. Perhaps your plant wasn't able to keep up with both.
