| Cyms are the only Orchid that the American Orchid Society says should not be grown by anyone in the gulf of Mexico states. It is too warm to flower.
However, there are several new hybrids that are warm tolerant and can flower in Florida from about Orlando north. It is still difficult as you get into south Florida.
I have bought and sold several of these warm tolerant and notice that they tend to be pastel colored flowers mostly some color on a white base. I have not found any that have the vivid colors of the cold Cyms.
