Can I mount Slc.?

Hi. I have an Slc. Love Castle that I acquired shortly before this forum (I asked some questions here about it when I first got it). It was doing quite well, with two new growths and new roots that I could watch grow by the day. After the first time it fell out, I re-situated it in its pot but for a couple of weeks I didn't notice the new growths getting any bigger. Then, this morning it fell out again and I decided maybe it needs a change. I think I'd like to mount it. Can I do this at this point? The larger of the new growths is 1 inch tall and the smaller is 1/2 inch. There are 8 healthy roots, the longest of which is about 3/4 of an inch long. Is it an ok time to mount? I am wrapping the roots in a moist paper towel for now until I get some advice. I am going to the nursery today to get some moss and a stick.
