| Western Windows in SoCal It's sad to say but my magic eastern facing 'magic window' is at it's max and I've been taking some temperature and humidity readings at my western facing windows (with the shades mostly closed). I'm really amazed by the spike in temp and drop in humidity that starts around 3PM here. The temp gets well in to the 90s F and the relitive humidity drops to about 40%. At around 7PM or 8PM it drops back to the 70's F and mid 50's% RH.
Every place I lived in SoCal has had this spike in the late afternoon...the other issue is that these windowsills are smaller and will not accomodate a
pot largeer than 3 inchs.
Are there any sugestions on what type of orchid, on the small side, can take this 4 hour spike in temp and drop in RH without getting toasted. |
