the ones I mounted have a fairly extencive root syestem as i have covered the roots so i can keep the sphag moist that stops the sphag from drying out as fast

plus I see you hold your mount down with wire as i use abit more sphag because i can hold the orchid down with fishing line.

As it is winter here now i dont soak the mounteds I dont mist the plant either I only mist the sphag twice a week.

I used to hold mine down with wire but over time the wire starts to rust.

You have done a fine job mounting your plant it looks pretty good to me.
