I thought scale with the first picture, too. The second one shows the spots as indented instead of raised! It's probably not scale or a virus. Is this spreading rapidly? Just staying the same?
It could be just caused by environmental problems such as water staying on the leaves in a cool area. I'm sure we'll get more on board in a day or two. Hang in there!
