I totally second the jealousy.
Thanks for the suggestion, Phal. I found a nice chrome wire shelf at home depot for $56. it is 36" wide and will fit perfectly into the corner of my diningroom. I am not so concerned about the look of the shelf (anything covered in plants is beautiful to me). My concern was that my husband thought the lights would be too bright. I was able to convince him that with proper reflectors, the light could be directed onto the plants and would be less obnoxious than the cfls we are using now.
