The basement wouldn't be such a bad idea. You would have a place to hang your lights and an area to set up some type of a work bench and storage area
all within reach. Maybe some type of sink for watering. Some music and make the basement into a tropical retreat. I have a feeling it's gonna be a long cold winter. This would leave more diaplay space upstairs for your blooming chids. Lowes and Walmart has all sizes of storage shelves.
Dr.Sparky looks very comfy. The little dog in my avatar is Tramp, and he is a cockerpoo I adopted from my local animal shelter.
