okay, so while I am planning my growing area -and more importantly convincing the hubby to let me keep one in the house- my plants live in the dining room.

I have a humidifier on one chair and put cfl's in the lamps on a timer. I use the radiator and an east-facing window for some morning-light-only plants. oh, and I do have an Odt. in the living room (and maybe some phals at work the hubby doesnt know about).

I am hoping to come up with a shelf system and lighting, but his concern is that it will be "too bright" for the house and will be obnoxious. I could put something in the basement, but it makes me sad to think of my chids down there all lonely.

oh, and look closely in the last picture, you can see Dr. Sparky (my schnauzer) snoozing away.
