Hi everyone,
I'm definitely a newbie, but orchids have always fantasized me. I just don't know where to start, or how to start. There is SO much info. I figured joining a forum would be the best way to start learning.
I bought myself a beautiful phal after purchasing one for a friend two years ago. She was my pride and joy. My husband called her my baby! Then my cat knocked her over and her leaves and buds broke off. She has one leaf left, and I'm patiently awaiting to see what will happen. In the meantime, I went back to the same place and bought another one but was disappointed when I took it home-the roots were stringy and gray-certainly not healthy. We'll see what happens.
I'm six months pregnant with our first child, so I have some time to devote to this "hobby". Looking forward to being a member of this community!
