The limit on size for the gallery is 700 pixels on the longest size. I prefer 600, it fits a computer screen better.

You will have to reduce the size for most cameras. Any editing software that allows you to resize by entering pixel size will keep the photo ratio if you enter 600 for both the height and width. The longer size will be 600 and the other less to maintain whatever ratio you had in the original.

It the editing software is in inches than use 6 inch's with a dpi of 76 not higher.

If size had no limit the photos would not fit on the screen and the computer server would be filled too quick. We have all had friends send baby pictures without reduction that could only get the infants eye on the page.
