I have the sweet sugar. It likes being moist, tightly potted and in a fine potting medium. Mine was a small plant with 2 growths and it grew 2 new this summer. Unfortunately the 2 new growths was one coming of the other so only one of them could stay plum. So far no spikes but i am confident i will get some soon.
