first bloom finally opened today
the only problem with this plant is it's almost impossible to get the true color of the flower in a photo. i tried all sorts of lighting and flash settings and whatnot, and i either got it washed out (overexposed) or too dark to see. anyway, the best i can do. much prettier in person, however:
