Here in South Australia our climate is very similar to yours DDS 2007.
I have my cyms outside all year round, and have them under a large beach shade, see this thread

Like Kevin March I take the smaller plants inside when flowering for show. The larger ones are too large to move, and a 60cm pot just doesn't look good on a table setting.
Cyms are extremely hardy plants. Go for it!
