Josh, the first one looks like a problem I had with a Phal.

Even though it was a house bound palnt I had some tiny snails and caterpillars nibbling on the leaves at night after coming out of the compost, and left similar indentaions on the surface of the leaves. They only nibbled have way through the thickness of the leaf.

See my posting under the heading "Cynthia's Timely Pest Post." I have a picture of it there. As mine was quite fresh, the marks on the leaf are yellowish, but have now turned brownish.

I could be wrong, but generally a virus will not leave indentations like those in the first image.
