No, not anytime, only when the plant is putting out new growth and starting or about to start a flush of new roots from the new growth, just exactly like right now. Clay pots can be put in the oven for 2 hrs at 400F. Soaking in 10% bleach if a bit iffy because the bleach may not penitrate well enough.
