dark pb can indicate a problem, if they are soft and squishy,i just twist them off trying not to disturb new growth. just an observation these types bloom best when left undisturbed and get kind of pot bound."tight shoes" some say. i may take another year or so for a bloom, maybe less if conditions are ideal, good luck with yours
