Welcome. I currently have 3 Phals. in flower and spurting new buds. I find them to be very easy to grow and they seem to be less demanding than other types of orchids. I'm a newbie and need to grow orchids that are easy - at least for right now. Presently, I grow them in a west window that has a blind that I can manipulate to keep off any sun. They don't like to dry out completely (see Cynthia's skewer method, link below). They are much less demanding with light requirements. I'm able to move them just about anywhere in my house and they're happy. Phals. are so graceful and when in bloom bring you much happiness.
